Dear Editor,
In my letter published in the Lughnasadh 1996 issue, I made an
error concerning Caillean's article ("On Committing
Intentional Heresy", Keltria, Lughnasadh 1995). His article
does not support my statement that he is proposing to create new
Deities to supplant those of the ancient Celts. In his concluding
paragraph, he states that "...that new Deities will make
Themselves known, to join with the old ones..." He also
refers to these new Deities as the "additional
pantheon". A more careful reading of his original article
before I wrote my response would have obviously been of benefit.
While I stand by my thesis that I do not believe in supplanting
the Gods of our chosen pantheon with new Gods, I stand corrected
in that "On Committing Intentional Heresy" does not
support this thesis either.
Walk With Wisdom,
- David Schaal
